Forever Plaid

August 7-10 & 14-17, 2008

A musical written and originally choreographed by Stuart Ross
Music Directed by Mark McGee

En route to their first big gig, four guys who called themselves Forever Plaid were slammed broadside by a school bus filled with eager Catholic teens. The teens were on their way to witness the Beatles make their US television debut on the Ed Sullivan Show. Miraculously, the teens were uninjured, but Forever Plaid died instantly. At that moment their careers and lives ended, but the story of Forever Plaid begins.
 

Daddy's Girl

A widower for 25 years, Benard Muloovy, proprietor of Maudie’s Diner, is served a full plate of comic chaos when his deceased wife, a talking portrait on the diner wall, enlists the services of an angel to help her reunite Benard with their long, lost daughter, Elizabeth.

Charles Dickens’ classic gets the full broadway treatment in this adaptation of A Christmas Carol. This is the version that leaves tourists gasping in wonder and merriment every year as the story unfolds. This production is a joy to behold with festive music you’re happy to leave the performance humming. Instinctively theatrical; a family entertainment of infectious joyousness.

The Underpants

February 13-15 & 20-22, 2009

A farce adapted by Steve Martin from Carl Sternheim’s play
Directed by Chris Greene

This funny story set in 1910 is about a pretty young woman who accidentally loses her underpants while watching a parade to the dismay of her stuffy burearcrat husband. Martin hysterically comments on our celebrity-mad culture with the 15-minutes-of-fame syndrome.

The Mousetrap

April 10-12, 17-19 & 24-25, 2009

A classic thriller by Agatha Christie
Directed by David Wright/David Wolcott

Agatha Christie comes forth with another hit about a group of strangers stranded in a boarding house during a snow storm, one of whom is a murderer. The suspects include a newly married couple who run the house, and the suspicions that are in their minds nearly wreck their perfect marriage. Chalk up another superb intrigue for the foremost mystery writer of her time.

In this hilarious comedy, two English Shakespearean actors find themselves so down on their luck that they are performing “Scenes from Shakespeare” on the Moose Lodge circuit in the Amish country of Pennsylvania. Ludwig’s newest farce is so funny, it will make sophisticated and reasonable men and women cackle till their faces hurt.
